Greetings from Ewha Womans University.



As the Associate Vice President of the Office of Global Affairs, Ewha Womans University, I would like to extend my warmest greetings from Seoul, South Korea.



I sincerely hope that every member of Ewha alumnae are well and prosperous in all areas.



Now, in the 21st century, Ewha is ready for another takeoff to become the hub of higher education in the world, with students from 45 different countries currently broadening their scope at Ewha.

Building upon the achievements of the past 123 years, Ewha has now launched ‘Initiative Ewha’ based on a vision to take the lead in every field.

In pursuit of this vision, Ewha fosters leaders who can be global citizens with multicultural awareness and global competence.

As part of this effort, Ewha has introduced the ‘Global Ewha 2010 Project,’ which is designed to elevate the standards of education, research, and administration to world-class level.

Ewha will confidently move forward to assume the role as the foremost educational community for women.



I would like to use this opportunity to cordially forward the 2009 information for the 39th international summer program of Ewha, "2009 Ewha International Summer College" - the premier international summer program in Korea since 1971.



In 2009, with the theme, "Dive into Korea," to cater to more diverse summer break windows for global undergraduate level students (co-ed),

the 2009 Ewha International Summer College will run two separate sessions: Session I (June 22nd – July 17th) and Session II (August 3rd – August 14th)

to better cater to the various cultural and academic needs of students from the diverse global institutions.



For Session I which runs for 4 weeks, the participants will be able to choose two courses and earn 6 academic credits.

For Session II which runs for 2 weeks, it will be a tailor made program with various special lectures and cultural excursions for "Introductory Korean Studies," and students will earn 3 academic credits.



The category of courses available for students will be diverse including: Korean Culture, Korean Languages, East Asian & Korean Studies, Law, Politics & Culture, Fine Arts & Design to Economics and Business categories.
